"Tearducts"
by Jules
She used to cry all the time
She fought dragons, played with snakes
She would dance to entice them
She would paint her face and streak her hair
Hiding behind curtains
Throwing out men, like so much trash
She used to laugh all the time.
She rode on wild horses, trying to tame herself
Tearing through towns, searching for Providence
New York, New Beige and Amsterdam
Italy, Switzerland and Germany
No matter where she traveled, she still couldn't see
The girl, The women, Hidden in Dreams
She used to cry all the time
Drinking to think, smoking to cope
knowing her life was just a joke
Finally she stopped searching, she met a man
They traveled to the Rocky Mountains
They found Peace within
Now, she uses her tears for release and laughs her pain away
They found refuge in the sunshine, playing in the surf
Living life for all it's worth
Her life isn't perfect, her dragons still live on
And each night she reads them a story, kisses them goodnight
And lives in Peace everyday
Finding love in every way
